stepping towards a better life

Completing cancer treatment is often expected to be a time of celebration. While many people do feel relief, it can also be a time of unexpected emotional adjustment.

Friends and family may assume life has returned to normal, yet many people find themselves living with uncertainty, changes in confidence, and questions about what comes next.

You don't have to navigate this transition alone.

When Treatment Ends, the Emotional Journey Often Continues

Many people describe feeling supported throughout treatment, only to feel unexpectedly alone once appointments become less frequent.

You may be experiencing:

  • Fear that the cancer may return

  • Anxiety before follow-up scans or appointments

  • Difficulty adjusting to everyday life

  • Loss of confidence

  • Changes in relationships or priorities

  • A sense that others don't understand what you're going through

These experiences are more common than many people realise.

Making Sense of Life After Cancer

Life after treatment can bring opportunities for growth as well as challenges. Counselling offers a space to reflect on what you've been through, make sense of your experience and begin to rebuild confidence for the future.

My role is to provide a calm, supportive space where you can speak openly, process the emotional impact of cancer and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

How I Can Help

Support may include:

  • Adjusting to life after treatment

  • Managing fear of recurrence

  • Rebuilding confidence

  • Navigating changes in relationships

  • Returning to work or retirement

  • Exploring what life looks like after cancer

Counselling can help you move beyond simply surviving cancer and towards living a meaningful and fulfilling life.
