Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT encourages clients to accept what lies beyond their control and to take action toward what truly matters.Through mindfulness and practical strategies, it helps create space between ourselves and the difficult thoughts or emotions that arise, increasing flexibility and resilience in daily life. The focus is on living in alignment with personal values and moving toward a richer, more meaningful life.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

CBT explores how our thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and physical experiences are interconnected.Together, we identify patterns that may be unhelpful and experiment with more balanced ways of thinking and responding. While we may touch on the origins of certain beliefs, CBT mainly focuses on the present—on learning practical tools that support change and wellbeing.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative Therapy invites clients to view their life stories from fresh perspectives.

By exploring experiences and the meanings attached to them, people can step back from self-blame, recognise personal strengths, and re-author their stories in ways that feel more authentic and empowering.

Rather than trying to “fix” the person, this approach helps reshape the relationship they have with their own narrative.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT centres on the emotional bonds that shape our relationships.

It helps individuals and couples recognise the patterns that underlie conflict and disconnection, and learn new ways to express needs and rebuild trust. Through compassionate exploration, EFT supports greater emotional awareness and more secure, fulfilling relationships.

Person-Centred Therapy (PCT)

Person-Centred Therapy is grounded in the belief that every person has an innate capacity for growth. Within a safe, non-judgemental space, the therapist offers empathy, genuine presence, and unconditional positive regard—allowing clients to reconnect with their inner resources and develop their own solutions.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

SFBT looks forward rather than backward, focusing on what is working and how to build on it. Through collaborative and goal-oriented conversations, clients identify practical steps toward the changes they wish to see. This approach emphasises strengths, resources, and small, achievable shifts that can lead to meaningful outcomes.

Compassionate Inquiry

Compassionate Inquiry brings awareness to the unconscious patterns and beliefs that shape our lives. Through gentle questioning and attention to the body’s responses, clients uncover the hidden dynamics behind their experiences. This awareness can open the way to greater authenticity, self-connection, and choice.

What to expect in a session...

All counselling sessions are 50 minutes in duration and are priced at $120.00 per session.

For clients accessing support through the NDIS, sessions are currently priced at $156.16 per session, in line with the NDIS pricing schedule.

Before beginning, all new clients are asked to complete a Client Information Form and a Client Confidentiality Agreement, as required by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Each session begins with a brief check-in to explore what has brought you to counselling and to clarify the issues or themes you would like to focus on. Together, we then establish short-term goals for the session and longer-term goals based on your desired outcomes and the number of sessions planned.

As part of our duty of care, the first session also includes a brief client screening to identify any potential risk factors or areas where additional support may be needed.

Session notes are recorded and kept strictly confidential between the client and counsellor. Confidentiality is only broken in rare circumstances where there is a serious concern for your safety or if information is legally required to be disclosed. In such cases, the counsellor acts in accordance with ethical and legal obligations.
